Holds up my 18-inch laptop, which is 4.23 kg (9.32 lb). That's impressive as other stands have crumbled at the touch of it. It does still give way when moving around at times, which is to be expected with this weight. Otherwise this thing will lift what it says no problem.Holding this thing is like holding a cast iron pan for the first time and thinking god dang that's hefty. Makes you feel secure.

I bought a few different laptop stands over the years. Some quite a bit more expensive than this one.This one is just unbeatable in terms of versatility and sturdiness and especially for the price. Perfect for my MB Pro 16 inch.During Prime days it came with an additional discount - I bought a second one.When it’s folded and is in its pouch it looks like a small piece of timber which is relative thick.Absolutely brilliantly built from solid aluminium.If they found a way to somehow fold it into a thinner brick - it would be the ultimate travel stand.
Sturdy! Solid, holds the wieight of a 17" laptop very easily.Wish I'd read more, because in my opinion 800g is not "light", it's the heaviest thing in my laptop bag (inc. PD battery!) but, it is very well built.
